I have medium length naturally curly hair, and I have a love/hate relationship with it. On some days I want to leave it, but others, I'd feel so blessed to be able to do something with it. I'm wondering if there are some things I can do to help straighten temporarily.

Buy a straightener. lol. xD
I mean.. if you have to straighten it to make it LOOK GOOD, it's probably not a good haircut for you.
Try getting a razor haircut, or maybe...a short hair cut where the hair is about 1 inch or less long... and then spike it up %26lt;3

Invest in a really good flat iron...the ones that are about 80.00 and up. I've bought both the regular revlon brands and the salon brand and there is no comparison, the salon flat iron will straighten out any type of hair. I love it. Go to your local beauty supply store and see what they have to offer. Also, if you do flat-iron your hair be sure to treat your hair first with some sort of product so that you're not damaging it.

You could use a hair straightener, or you could get it done for a long period of time as straight hair. Get a straight perm. It all depends on how long you want it. If you go with the hair straightener, you should make sure you buy a good one. I know many are cheap, but they break easily. Go for a good well known brand.
Hair straightening tips?
Use a straightener but use it sparingly because it can really damage your ends, splitting them quicker than normal. Use a heat spray that helps your hair fight off damage from heat. If your curls are really thick you can straighten your hair at night and still have straight hair to last the rest of the next day. If you have frizzy curls, i would suggest keeping it curly because if you straighten it, it will look like a crimped mess!

i dont know if you want to spend a lot of money but a CHI iron is a good investment its great they have different versions the standard one works good so dont waste your money on the CHI ultra or CHI nano unless you prefer them better I really dont know the difference so you might want to research that
Hair straightening tips?
Just get a flat iron. They don't have to be expensive it just depends on the brand.
Hair straightening tips?
Take a blowdryer, straightening gel, and a round brush. (tresemme has a good heat protecting straightening gel and so does bumble %26amp; bumble for curly/wavy hair)
once you come out of the shower, apply the gel. start blowdrying with the roundbrush until your hair gets straight.
thats the only i way i know other than a straightener. plus, it gives you volume
good luck :]

The Maxiglide by:

This appliance is better than the flat iron because it will not scorch your hair. It uses steam and you will love the results.
If your hair is not too long as you described, you might just want to get the Miniglide:

I was fortunate to get both appliances when I ordered the Maxiglide.
It really works well and it won't kill your hair like a flat iron.

if you cant get a hair straightener then try to dry it straight!
you could use a normal iron, but as long as its on the coolest temp there is and you protect your hair with brown paper first, dont do this unprotected!
good luck,
