What hairstyle and colour should my hair look like?

Ok, I have medium length dark brown hair with complimentary highlights that are golden caramel (not neon bright if you're thinking it is). I want a new cut, and I am getting my layers re-done because I can't them anymore :P Anyways, I'm deciding to get my highlights re-done and I want something new and fresh. I am also thinking of getting my hair razored as well. Any ideas for hairstyles and highlights/lowlights. And I am not allowed to dye my hair like from brown to black or blonde or red. Pics would be GREATLY APPRECIATED =] I will give out the best answer soon because I need ideas quick, =D

if you want something fresh go with what you want a fresh razor edged hair cut - with side swept bangs - highlights - ok no problem - get them done a few shades darker than your natrual color and a few shades lighter - it will add major dimension to your hair style -

I would go for

short layered hair

maybe a fringe

depends on face shape tho.

if its round, stay away from the front fringe becuase it makes round faces look even rounder %26gt;.%26lt;

go for a side fringe ;)

and as for the colours,

try getting a different brown coloured highlights, instead of blonde

they may not be more noticeable but i think id would look great
