All shampoo is over the counter. Your best bet would really be to go to a salon and pay a little bit more for something that will make a HUGE difference in your hair. The biggest difference in the price is that salon products are not watered down, so you really only need to use a little bit, so they should last you a long time.

I recommend anything Aussie, they have great products and use a lot of natural extracts. I use MOIST shampoo and conditioner because my hair tends to be dry and I have to have a separate conditioner. My husband uses their 2in1 which he really likes.

As a hairstylist I can't recommend any OTC shampoos as I've never used them.
I'm assuming you want an OTC shampoo because of the price, here's the thing, salon brands may cost more but they last longer. Try L'oreal Professional shampoo (yes it's from a salon), it will cost $22 - $26, it will also last 3 times longer than an OTC shampoo. So you're basically paying the same price.
However if you still wish to buy an OTC shampoo get yourself a hydrating shampoo along with a good conditioner.
Just so you know your shouldn't be washing your hair on a daily basis unless you have oily hair.
Washing your hair daily strips the hair of its natural moisturizers and causes it to be dry. If your hair is not oily reduce your washing periods to every other day if not every three days. You will notice a huge difference.

I recommend using Nexxus luxury moisturizing shampoo. It is excellent! It is a bit costly ($10) but it is well worth it. I've been using it for three days now and my hair feels very soft, light and with minimal buildup. Also, my hair isn't getting as oily anymore because it doesn't have to compensate. So, like I said, Nexxus is amazing and out of all the shampoos I have ever used, it is by far my favourite! :)

Arbonne has some great products that are formulated to meet your specific need. The self adjusting daily shampoo and conditioner are formulated with natural tree oil. Native to Australia, tea tree oil is known as 閳ユ翻he wonder from down under.閳?:-) This natural, super-potent oil treats dry, flaky scalp, so that both the head and hair are left nourished, and flake-free. It's botanically based, pure, and safe with key ingredients including nanospheres, nettle, hops, sage and thyme extracts, vitamins A, C, E. If you're open to trying a free sample, I'll be happy to send you one.
